Bangladesh is a disaster-prone country. Every year, floods, cyclones, storm surges, landslides, and other natural calamities affect millions of people. During the monsoon season, approximately 26,000 square kilometers (18%) of the country are flooded, causing severe suffering and displacement, especially in the northern and other vulnerable regions.
In addition, cyclones, fires, cold waves, and other disasters further disrupt the lives of affected communities.
Since its establishment, Peace Foundation has been working tirelessly across the country to support disaster-affected people. Alongside emergency relief operations, we also implement long-term rehabilitation programs.
